F.I.T (Fathers In Tears)
Join us for F.I.T. (Fathers In Tears), a monthly support group dedicated to providing emotional support, resources, and a safe space for fathers who have lost children or loved ones to gun violence. Held on the first Saturday of every month from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, our sessions offer a blend of in-person and virtual formats to accommodate all preferences. Each meeting includes a warm welcome and introduction, insights from guest speakers such as grief counselors and mental health professionals, an open sharing circle for confidential storytelling and emotional support, and a short break. Participants will engage in group activities or workshops focused on journaling, art therapy, meditation, and coping strategies. We also share valuable resources and announcements, concluding with a closing circle to recap the session and set positive intentions for the month ahead. Facilitated by trained professionals, F.I.T. ensures continuous support through regular check-ins and collaborations with local organizations to expand the support network.
